The Purpose of Shaban Magazine:
With the dramatic growth of the Iranian Christian church outside of Iran, has come many new challenges.
There was a time that most Christian leaders personally knew each other and had regular contact.
Those days are gone. We are now faced with Iranian churches and fellowships around the world and many
do not know each other. We are seeing the fullfilment of Jeremiah 49:34-39 with God's scattering of the
Iranians so as to bring them into His Kingdom.
The growth of Christianity among Iranians is of great joy to us all, but those of us in ministry are also
painfully aware of the unusual problems the church faces. There is a severe lack of mature leadership.
Many Iranian Christian groups are led by sincere God fearing men, who have not had the opportunity to
study God's Word or work alongside of more experienced men. This situation has produced strange un-Biblical
teachings in some of our fellowships. Some leaders present themselves as prophets who receive direct
revelation and feel they answer to no one. There is a need for a clear Biblical voice calling us all back to
the simply fundamentals of the Word of God.
Shaban magazine seeks to be a beacon of light for the isolated servant of God who is seeking

Biblical knowledge and wisdom for his ministry by calling upon our most mature leaders to write and teach us
of the ways of God.
The staff of Shaban magazine pray that as you read this our first issue, you will feel a sense of hope and
encouragement in your ministry. We are praying for you!
